PSP approval file
A payment provider that declines an application rarely explains its
decision.
Approval nevertheless turns on verifiable points: consistency
of the documents with one another, the contractual pages required by the
card networks, descriptors, the checkout flow, the refund policy.
We
prepare your file around what the underwriter actually checks.
Three common situations
First approval
When a paid product launches, the underwriting requirements come as a surprise: corporate documents, domain proof, banking consistency, contractual pages. A file that is complete on first submission saves weeks of back-and-forth.
Demanding sector
Subscriptions, marketplaces, regulated content: underwriting is reinforced, and the file has to answer the networks' additional requirements point by point.
Refusal or termination
After an unexplained refusal, a closed account or a withheld payout, the file is rebuilt, corrected on what blocked it, then submitted to several providers in parallel.
Ten business days, four steps
Qualify
Study of the business, volumes, markets and entities, then selection of compatible providers before any file work begins.
Assemble
Corporate documents, banking and domain proof, business description. The whole must stay consistent from one document to the next, because inconsistencies are the leading cause of refusal.
Bring up to standard
The contractual pages and the checkout flow are aligned with the network requirements: terms, refunds, delivery, descriptors, strong authentication, price display.
Submit and follow through
The file is submitted, the underwriter's questions are answered on time, and you receive a follow-up procedure: disputes, chargebacks, monitoring thresholds.
The deliverables
A file ready to submit, reusable for each new provider. Depending on a single acquirer is a risk in itself.
- Complete underwriting file: ordered documents, business description, realistic volume projections.
- Contractual pages: terms of sale, refunds, delivery and privacy, to card network standards.
- Reviewed checkout flow: price display, consent, descriptors, strong authentication.
- Answer grid: the underwriter's predictable questions, with factual answers prepared.
- Dispute and chargeback procedure: evidence to keep, deadlines to meet, thresholds to watch.
- List of compatible providers: qualified for your business before any contact is made.
Pricing. The file is quoted in detail, from CA$11,000 depending on the number of entities, sites and targeted providers. A written preliminary assessment opens the engagement (CA$2,200 (plus taxes), delivered within five business days); its price is credited against the engagement.
Describe your payments situation
Your business and the obstacle you face, in a few lines. The preliminary assessment establishes what the file will have to demonstrate.
