Our trade

A digital product has to work and to follow the rules of its market. The market treats those as two trades, handled by vendors who do not speak the same language. The client plays interpreter between them, and translation errors are paid for in delays, declined approvals or rework.

Here, it is one trade. The texts that frame a product are read at the source, translated into technical requirements, then implemented in the architecture, the code and the documentation. Regulatory requirements enter the specification like any others, and the proof of compliance builds up as the product is developed, not after the fact.

The practice comes from the field. We operate online platforms and products of our own. Approvals, audits, evidence registers: we handle these files for our own account before handling them for clients. We remain our own first client.

Head office in Montréal

300-204 rue du Saint-Sacrement, Montréal, Québec H2Y 1W8, in Old Montréal.

Leadership

We are engineers. Regulatory files are part of the job: payments, data, platforms, for our own account and for our clients.

Paris and Montréal

Two entities, two markets, one team and one method on both sides of the Atlantic.

Guarantees

The guarantees

Four commitments appear in every one of our contracts.

01

Confidential by default

Engagements are confidential at no extra cost. No client reference is published or cited without written consent.

02

Deliverables that get used

The documents we hand over are dated, sourced and written to be passed on as they are to an auditor, a lawyer, a bank or a regulator.

03

A written frame

Scope, price, deadlines and acceptance criteria appear in the contract. Payment follows the delivery milestones.

04

A limited first step

A fixed-price preliminary assessment, or a short first engagement, lets you judge the work before any larger commitment. The deliverables remain yours.

Principles

How we work

Write little

A line of code delivered will have to be maintained for years. Our systems carry as few moving parts as possible.

Say no early

When a request is vague, unfeasible or outside our field, you hear it in the first exchange rather than at the first missed milestone.

Own it in production

Delivered systems are designed for the real environment, with its outages, its load and its obligations. Our responsibility does not end at delivery.

Stay transferable

Source code handed over, usable documentation, transferable infrastructure. You remain free to hand the work to another team.

Design with the rules

The obligations that apply to the product enter the specification at scoping, alongside the functional requirements.

Security as standard

Least privilege, encryption and segmentation are part of the initial design of every delivered system.
